Hmmm… Where to start? OK! Every woman knows the fairy tale: find the right man, give him what he wants and needs, and he’ll love you forever. But what to do when the myth you’ve been asked to believe fails to deliver—when you sense you’ve been settling for less than you know in your heart is possible?

On the other hand, it is time for us men to go beyond the macho jerk ideal, all spine and no heart. But the sensitive and caring wimp ideal, all heart and no spine, is also played out. Only when heart and spine are integrated can we men then move into the fullest expression of love, an openness into the infinite possibilities of this present moment. And this takes a new kind of courage.

Ok, ok, I practically stole the above mostly from David Deida's “Finding God through Sex,” but it expresses my own sentiments. I am seeking to connect with people who have the courage to throw away the fairy tales and explore newer ways how we – men and women – can relate to one another.
